grammar check

People using Open Office wish it had a grammar checker.

Many text editors use the open-source "ispell" spell checker. Could a open-source grammar checker work the same way -- a module that works with several programs -- so I only have to improve the grammar checking in one place, rather than over and over in every text editor? – DavidCary

I think I remember hearing that AbiWord has a grammar checker plug-in ? How hard would that be to port to OpenOffice? ?
