The day-page-set for the notes in the Mattis-Manzel-wiki

talk
MattisManzel:
Man, “edit today’s talk”, - talk -, “heutiges Gespräch bearbeiten” - sprich -, “modifica communicazione di oggi” - parla, man.
Hm, in German it’s not bad: Peinlich-wiki: Gespräch.
Without “sprich”, feels like there’s audio
Ethno:Gespr%c3%a4ch. That is ugly, yes. Ethno-wiki: Gespräch is not.
the hive-ideas and the hive-lists of wiki-hives all on one page
MattisManzel:
Hmm. It would be interesting have the hive-ideas and the hive-lists of wiki-hives all on one page. What idea is behind the hive? What wikis are in it? Sure. On [HiveWiki:WikiNetHiveIdeasAndHiveLists? hive-wiki: wiki-net hive-ideas and hive-lists] I had to force the sequence but it works.
This one’s cute. TheSheep made it.

Wer spricht?
Verbale Kommunikation: Man sieht und hört sofort, wer spicht: Mit den ersten Worten weiss man, wer spricht.
Aufgeschriebene Kommunikation: Ganz am Ende steht, wers war. Yawn!

Welcome! This is the eArt-wiki-hive. It hosts wikis about electronic art or wikis that are electonic art in the wide sense.

MattisManzel :
mutante pointed me to Mediawiki having new feeds http://s23.org/wiki/Special:WikiFeeds. I have to retry on http://s23.org/wiki/RecentNearChanges and the other wiki-net attempts and see if something useful can be done with the new feeds in wiki-net context.

blog = face
MattisManzel:
The “face” of the community I just added introducing the blog on hiv-wiki-en. That’s “just a four-letter word” and you know that I like them. Replacing blog with face, BlogPages with FacePages, front / face. In German, de - Gesicht, it - faccia, no - sikte. Makes WikiNetFaces - wiki-net faces, WikiNetGesichter? - wiki-net Gesichter, FaccieWikiNet? - faccie wiki-net … . Quite some work to change that all, oh yes. But as it’s for a good purpose … Gotta sleep over it a night.
Ideas are a funny fibre. They keep you on the run somehow.

I replaced blog with face on the entire hiv-wiki-en and it feels good. Not sure if descriptions like “Our face and the faces of the neighbours in our wiki-net merged” work but that wouldn’t be but use our page face. … Gotta sleep over it another night.
Functionally face is just it. Think about it. Lemme exaggerate slightly to explain: Face is the oldest word that exists and blog is the newest. I for example still haven’t figured out what a blog is, let alone my dad or my little nice. But we all know what a face is. And our ancestors ‘til up the trees knew what a face is: It’s the main communication interface of the pre-digital era. Interface not interblog btw.
Trying in German on hiv-wiki-de and it still works.

To hack Babel is to enable multilingual communication.
The hack-Babel-wiki is a center-wiki for wikis cooking with languages and intending to hack Babel.

MattisManzel: I’ve recently been using the talk for keeping notes. I’ll separate them now to make things clearer. Notes is another day-page set and it puts out an rss-feed, the note-feed. Similar to the talk-feed it is not in use as both talk and notes are of community-internal interest only.
Talk and notes are not syndicated.

MattisManzel: note on howto place the camel-case title in the upper right instead of the upper left:

MattisManzel: note on how to get edit today’s talk to the very right in the GotoBar and in violett color.

mattis^: kensanata can I do something to make day-pages in the BlogPages set stay longer on “wiki-net blogs”? - they vanish few days after the last edit. Like here http://oddwiki.org/odd/ETerra/WikiNetBlogs
kensanata: mattis^: depends on the feeds you’re requesting. Instead of …?action=rss;full=1&match=… use …?action=rss;full=1;days=30;rsslimit=100;match=…
Which means, show the last 100 entries made in the last 30 days. Instead of the defaults, which is 15 and 7 on oddwiki.
