Feel like saying hi to let us know you stopped by? It’s encouraging for us to have visitors and encouraging for you to practice editing this page.
Please follow the “edit this page” link at the bottom, and add your name to this page. We like real names a lot (see UseRealNames). If you squish your name into one word, then you can follow the question mark to create your new NamePage. How cool is that?

PatrickAnderson: The mechanically generated page at cw is interesting, but would be more valuable if we could filter out search-bots:
It feels to me like viewing a security camera film. Owners have good reason to monitor their property for whatever they consider inappropriate actions, but I think visitors should be informed that they are being recorded, and have “at cost” access to those records.
I wondered if such a feature was available here at OddWiki, so tried
but that doesn’t work.
neither does:
Maybe Alex turned this off for all the OddWiki sub-wikis because of increased storage or processing costs?
SamRose: I believe it is a module or extension, that is not added to OddWiki farm at http://oddwiki.org/odd
SamRose: Welcome HansWobbe, DavidCary! You input is welcome, of course.
MattisManzel, 2007-09-07:
Hi. There are no pages “recent visitors” in the oddwiki-hive. The oddwiki-hive neither has the background colors for languages - [en] [fr] … - nor tags implemented. In the eArt-, kabo- and obm-wiki-hives “recent visitors”, the colored backgrounds and the tags work. A page called RecentVisitors is traditionally a low barrier page to say: Hi. “I’ve been here.” This is an important function, I think, and should be kept (like on this wiki). I call the function “recent readers” therefore, linking it from the recent changes (which I call changes or hive-changes in case it’s a main-wiki for a wiki-hive [1]). There is a scent of surveillance, true, but every geocities page or similar has such a function in far greater detail since many years already.
Fido 2010-04-17 Hello KeithHopper, SamRose, PatrickAnderson, LionKimbro, DavidCary, HansWobbe, MattisManzel and anonymous contributors. Your pages here are amazing. Both content and style are spot-on. I guess my edits on your CollectiveProblemSolving also removed the “pages subject to deletion” warning. That’s a good thing. I fantasized throwing myself at the task of heavily editing and updating- reinvigorating your set of pages. Instead, although it is also bold, I decided to sand box with forks of your pages, guiding my own work with templates made by yours. Please see what I’m doing with my sandboxing experiment at OrgoWiki. I was tempted to wait till I could know my longer term plans before showing you my use of your format and texts. I decided to err on the side of an early introduction. I don’t want to make or ask for any promises, primarily because of time constraints, and our lack of history together, but I like the idea that I might get more formally involved with your old thought streams embedded here. Apologies for the non-real name for now. In case you are wondering, I do not have any reason to believe we know each other or necessarily know any people in common (any more than any strangers might).
The path here: I went looking for a good format for my wiki. I searched for days and years (depending how you count). This week we narrowed ourselves down to OddMuse and found a server site. My search for documentation led to OddWiki. A search for OddWiki css led me to your pages here. I’m looking forward to hearing your impressions.
